Farmer’s organization

Research shows that 85 percent of all farms worldwide are owned by small family farms, and the people who subsist on this are primarily poor. To ease up the difficulties of working alone, the farm owners will form cooperatives to boost productivity and profitability.

Working together makes it simpler for smallholders and other resource-constrained agricultural producers to gain access to farming inputs including seeds, plant material, water, fertilizers, and pesticides, as well as to combine produce to sell in bigger quantities. Then, farmers can cut expenses and strengthen their negotiating position. Additionally, prosperous farmers are better suited to increase their food security and escape poverty. Other participants in food systems will also profit.

Our Initiatives

At Liliane and Roland Foundation (LRF), we engage in working with farmers’ organizations to help them grow into dependable, accountable groups where members prosper.

we listen and understand their priorities, such as climate funding and negotiating fair prices, we look to the farmer associations themselves.

The primary activities of this initiative will be:

  • Help in finding funds to develop the farming industries.
  • Provide environmental education for a sustainable agriculture and farming system.
  • Strengthen business relationship between farmers to work as a team.
  • Facilitate and educate farmers on the finance involvement and how to manage funds.
