GENDER INEQUALITIES IN BUSINESS

Men versus Women: Society sets the standard; women are meant to stay at home and raise the children, while men are the providers. Throughout the years, this myth has become weaker and weakerdue to hardship and the rising cost of living. To contribute to the financial distress, women had to act and start to get into the workforce.

With that in mind came the emancipation of women in every sector; however, society was not ready forthe change. Women must work harder to be accepted and appreciated, more specifically in underdeveloped and developing countries where cultures and beliefs are more instilled compared to industrialized countries.

Studies indicate a tendency for teams led by women to outperform those led by men in terms of profitability, according to wealth and scientific research.

At the Liliane and Roland Foundation (LRF), we believe that women are capable and need guidance and education to excel in a leadership role.

Our approach consists of changing the behavioural pattern around gender inequality, especially among farming families and communities.

Our Initiatives

Our goal is to empower women to take the initiative to open their own businesses in the artisanal, agricultural, and farming industries.

By providing educational and personal development programs, they will be fully equipped to manage their businesses.

Through engagement in their communities and motivation for more inclusive local policies, they will be more inclined to succeed.
